I played this course on vacation and payed $90. The course was in good condition,staff was helpful and courteous. My wife liked this course better than any of the others we played.

This is a classic course that at one time was considered one of the best in Hawaii. Newer courses have been built that are more expensive resort courses - courses that now host professional golf competitions but for the price this course is not only beautiful but challenging - especially when the winds are up. The greens - when in good shape - are especially tricky with a lot of slope and grain to consider. The fairways are quite generously wide - but when played from the back tees lend a greater difficulty. All in all, it is one of my favorite courses to play - even though it is a fair distance of a drive from Honolulu. It definitely has more character than the "flat" plains courses in the area, which get greater play (and cost more). A round here, I believe, will always be enjoyed and it is surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Makaha Valley and the deeply blue Pacific Ocean. Try it out - except not on the days I'm playing - I like it lightly played.
